Fees: Make checks payable to Hawkeye State Cat Club. All fees must accompany entries. No fee wiill be returned for failure to bench. Entry Clerk will call collect to verify questionalble entries. All entries must be submitted on an official CFA entry form, printed or typed clearly. Online entry is available. If you have an email scanner, please add entry clerk's address. All checks must be drawn on US banks and in US funds. Only ONE benching request will be honored. Per show rule 11.08a faxed and email entries MUST be paid within ten days of receipt or prior to the start of the show, whichever is first.

Show Hall Info: Palace Theatre at Adventureland, 5091 NE 56th St., Altoona, IA, is a non-smoking, climate controlled show hall. A smoking area is provided. Adventureland will determine smoking area, as smoking is no longer permitted in public buildings in Iowa. Food will be provided.

Rules: All entries must be registered with CFA except kittens and Household Pets. HHPs must be over 8 months of age and spayed or neutered. DECLAWED cats are NOT eligible for entry.

All championship, premiership and registered kitten entries will be scored for CFA National and Regional awards. All entries must be registered with CFA except kittens and HHPs. No kittens under the age of four months will be allowed in the show hall. Ribbons and Rosettes will be offered in all rings as required and suggested by CFA Show Rules. CFA approved Permanent Flats will be used. The show is licensed by the Cat Fanciers' Association, Inc. All CFA Show Rules will be strictly enforced. To obtain a copy of the current Show Rules, send your request with $7 to CFA, 260 East Main Street, Allliance, OH 44601.

This is a NON-VETTED show. You are advised to have your entries inoculated by a licensed veterinarian against feline enteritis, feline rhinotracheitis, calici virus, rabies and be FeLV tested before entering. All claws of all entries must be clipped prior to benching. Litter and water will be provided. Please bring litter pans, water dishes and cat food. Single cage size is 21" x 21" x 21". Double cage size is 21" x 21" x 45". No more than one cat or two kittens may be benched in a single cage. Only cats entered in the show or for sale may be present in the show hall.

There is no transportation provided for fly-in exhibitors from the Des Moines airport.

Household Pets: HHPs will be judged in all 8 rings. Household Pet must be 4 months of age or older and spayed or neutered. Declawed cats are NOT eligible for entry. Special awards for Highest Scoring and Second Highest Scoring awarded Sunday PM.

Cages: Only ONE benching request will be honored. All Security cages require an extra 1/2 cage space. $25.00 1/2 cage fee applies. Wire benching cages will not be set up, but will be available for exhibitor use.

Catalog Ads: - Camera Ready Ads: Full Page, $25; Half Page, $15; Business Card, $5.

Liability: Reasonable care of cats and personal property will be taken, but neither the club, its members nor Adventureland will be liable for any loss or damage. There will be no night watchman on duty.

Driving Directions: TO GET TO THE BACK ENTRANCE(S) OF THE SHOW HALL,,TAKE THE SERVICE ENTRANCE ON 34TH AVE AT THE BASE OF THE ROLLER COASTER.

From the East – I-80.

Take first Des Moines Exit 142. Turn Left on Highway 65/69 –Hubbell Ave. You are now going SW. Go through major intersection. Turn left at next corner- 34th Ave. NW. (There is now a Stop Light - Same street. They just changed the name.) Service Entrance is on the Left hand side at base of the roller coaster. .

From West – I-80.

Take exit 141 Immediately exit on Hubbell Ave –Exit 83 Turn left on Hubbell(Highway 65/69). Turn Right on NE 56th Street. Service entrance is on the Left at the base of the Roller Coaster.

From North. I-35 to I-80. Follow West Directions

From South, I-35 to I-80. Follow West Directions. Or from I-35 take Exit 68 (Hwy 5) which connects w/ Hwy 65/69 This goes around the South side of Des Moines, Take Exit #83 – Hubbell Exit. Go through first stop light. Turn Right on Hubbell. Then Right on NE 56th ST. Service entrance is at the base of the Roller Coaster.
