Breeders Assistance Program (BAP): Most of you know, the Breeders Assistance Program (BAP) relies entirely on donations in order to provide assistance to those who need it. Typically, those donations are requested whenever a major “event” takes place. We appreciate that, but also know that it is not good to rely on a “crisis” to raise funds. We also know that it is nice to get something in return, for your donation. “Warm and Fuzzies” are great, but something you can hold and something that can help you in return, is even better!!
To that end, one of the things we have done is to make available the “Cattery Organization System” that you can purchase with a $25.00 donation to the BAP. The “Cattery Organization System” is made up of a labeled three ring binder, that holds several forms for you to fill out that emergency personnel, friends, relatives, etc., can use to find important information about your cattery / pets and to know what you want done, should an emergency arise and you are not able to direct those efforts. In addition to the binder and pre-printed forms, you will receive a CD with the pdf versions of those pages, so you may print additional one’s out, for On top of that, anyone who donates the $25.00 to the BAP for the “Cattery Organizations System”, between now and the New Year, will also receive free… YES… FREE any and all updates and enhancements to the system that are developed over the coming months!! You do not have to worry that as an early adopter of the system, you will be left behind, or have to pay more than new people purchasing the system later on!! Shipping and Handling is FREE!!! You may use the “Donate” button at:http://www.cfabreedersassist-rescue.org/donations.html Please make sure to specify the “Cattery Organization System” in the comments. You may also send a check to: Leslie Falteisek
Exciting News for Junior Exhibitors and their Families
The CFA Youth Feline Education Program (YFEP), which replaces the Junior Showmanship Program, has divisions for youth from 8 to 18 years old, with age appropriate activities and opportunities. The new program is not limited to breed presentations. Points can be earned by showing your cat in competition or HHP classes, giving a short talk about your cat, working as a steward in a ring, creating a health journal for your cat, helping at a no-kill shelter, working as a CFA Ambassador, and more. We want it to be fun while you learn about cats. The points you earn can qualify you for an annual award. The top YFEP participants will be awarded savings bonds at the CFA Annual Awards Banquet. And YFEP is going social! If you are a member of Facebook please search for “CFA Youth Feline Education Program.” There, YFEP members can talk with each other and share their experiences. A YFEP web site is also under development. When the web site is ready, you will be able download your needed forms and information. Handbooks and Forms are currently being developed and will be available at the YFEP web site in the near future. Please do a Facebook search to see our fun new logo and our mascot, Professor YFEP and students. The CFA Youth Feline Education Program (YFEP) will be introduced at the CFA National Show in Indianapolis, Indiana, November 19 and 20, 2011. Please come by the CFA Youth Feline Education Booth for more information. Mark McKenzie: CFA MWR Mentor Coordinator: Those of you who have put in your name in the past as a person willing to mentor a newbie, please contact me. I am building the database to respond to mentoring requests. Mentoring is a VERY important aspect of participating in the cat fancy. Offering your services as a mentor is a natural consequence of progression from newbie to established breeder. Give back just a little to enrich the lives of people just like you that have a desire to become an active participant in our hobby. |
