All fees must accompany entries. Early Bird entries must be complete in order to receive the special rate. All Early Bird fees and entries must be RECEIVED by Early Bird closing date. No post-dated checks will be accepted. Please print or type all entry blanks and forms, unless entering online. Fees for faxed/emailed entries must be received within 10 days of receipt of entry or be paid at check in, whichever is the lesser time. No refunds for failure to bench. The entry clerk will call collect if any clarification is needed due to illegibility. No calls after 10 p.m., please. Security Check-In - This show is held at a Secure Location. You will be required to show your ID by a Kansas National Guard each time you enter the show hall. Please keep your identification with you. Show Hall - Air Conditioned and Handicap Accesssible. No smoking in show hall. Pet Friendly Hotels (pet fees may apply): Best Western Topeka Inn & Suites, 700 SW Fairlawn Rd, 785-228-2223 Transportation - KCI Roadrunner Service is available by reservation from Kansas City, MO (MCI) airport. Phone number: 1-800-747-2524 Health Certificates - For those exhibitors with out-of-state entries, be advised that you could be asked for proof that health certicates and inoculations are up-to-date including proof of rabies vaccination for all animals brought to the Show Hall. In addition, anyone selling cats or kittens in the Show Hall is required to provide appropriate vaccination information on the animal to be sold. Certificates must be current with no issue date older than 30 days. This is a State of Kansas regulation and law beyond the control of the Topeka Cat Fanciers. Vendors - One 2' x 8' floor table is $50. Additional table space (up to 3 spaces) is $25. Contact Show Manager early for booth requests. Cat Sales - Kittens can be sold at this show. If you are the seller, be sure to have your paperwork with you. ie vaccination records, etc. Only cats or kittens eligible for CFA registration may be sold in the show hall. Only persons showing cats may sell cats or kittens in the show hall. Ribbons and Awards - Ribbons and rosettes will be awarded according to CFA rules. Permanent ribbons will be used for first, second and third places. Regular flat ribbons will be available upon request. Special Awards for OVERALL BEST Kitten, Championship, Premiership and Household Pet. Supplies - Litter will be provided. Bring your own litter pans. A single cage is provided by the club for each entry, except Junior Showmanship, which gets a double cage. Cage size is 21" x 21" single and 21" x 45" double. Bring curtains or towels to hang on the inside, top and bottom of the cage. Bring your cat to the show hall in a carrier. Catalog Ads - Advertise your cats, Cattery or Business in our catalog. Send to Ed Kempf via email. Full Page - $25 Half Page - $15; Quarter Page - $10 and Business Card - $5. The FIRM DEADLINE to receive advertising is September 2, 2009. Additional Information - No veterinarian inspection prior to benching will be required. You are advised to have your cats inoculated against feline enteritis, feline Rhinotracheitis/Pneumonitis, calci viruses and tested negative for FELV for entry. All cats must be free of fungus, ear mites and any of the above. The show committee reserves the right to remove any cat from the show hall until a licensed veterinarian can pass on the health of the cat. This will be done at the exhibitor's expense. Front and rear claws are to be clipped on all cats. Reasonable care will be taken of cats and personal property. Neither te Topeka Cat Fanciers or its individual members shall be liable for property lost or damaged. This is a CFA licensed show. CFA rules will be strictly enforced. Show rules may be obtained from CFA, PO Box 1005, Manasquan NJ 08836. All Championship, Premiership and registered Kittens will be scored for CFA National Regional Awards. The club reserves the right to add judges not named to judge. Kittens under 4 months of age will not be allowed in the show hall. Liability - Reasonable care will be taken of cats and personal property. Neither the Topeka Cat Fanciers nor its individual members nor the Kansas National Guard Armory shall be liable for property lost or damaged. |
